The Self-Sustaining Ecohouse unites modernist form with the silent labor of renewable energy. Here, solar power is harvested and stored, sustaining the rhythms of daily life. Chiao’s pursuit is a reconciliation: architecture as a gesture toward equilibrium between humanity and the natural world.
Self-sufficient model of private housing. Inspired by the biological warfare and purely scientific part of biological researches of Japanese General Ishii Shiro.
